About Dr. Repass
I received my B.S. from Roberts Wesleyan College majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology. I enjoyed my student teaching experience however, School Psychology seemed to provide a perfect fit and merge of both the educational and psychology fields. Following graduation, I attended Alfred University and received my M.A. in School Psychology and for the next seven years worked as a practitioner in the schools while serving as an adjunct professor in the undergraduate psychology program at Roberts Wesleyan College. I returned to Alfred University in 1994 and completed my doctoral work in December, 1996 while continuing to work as a school psychologist in the Churchville-Chili School District. In 1998, I assisted Faculty at Roberts Wesleyan in their efforts to write the curriculum for four proposed masters programs in the field of psychology. The programs in School Psychology and School Counseling were approved and prepared to begin during the Fall, 2002 semester. I began my full-time teaching role at the College in the Fall, 2001 in preparation for the launch of these two new programs. I later became the director of the masters in psychology programs in 2005. In 2014, through faculty collaboration within the department, we began work on the Roberts Wesleyan Colleges’ first doctoral program in Clinical/School Psychology. We entered our first doctoral cohort in the Fall, 2016 semester. There has been much growth and change within the psychology department over the past 20 years, and in 2019 I began serving in the role of Department Chairperson for both the Undergraduate and Graduate Departments in Psychology with continued teaching responsibilities within the areas of professional practice and assessment.

Staying current with constant change in both the fields of Education and Psychology, I continue to stay involved at local, State, and National levels. I maintain active memberships in NYS Trainer’s Forum, NYASP (New York Association of School Psychologists), NASP (National Association of School Psychologists) and APA (American Psychological Association). My expanded community work on the local school board also broadens my network for remaining up-to-date in the field of education.

I am blessed to have the on-going support and love of my husband, Robert, while raising our two children, Trent and Olivia. I believe wholeheartedly in maintaining a proper balance between family, academic/career, and social/faith connections. It is only when we are able to maintain this balanced life that we are able to achieve true success.
